Bender is now offering two after school classes for Middle and High School students.

Details of each class is as follows:

Fundamentals of Computer Science

For Middle and High School Students.

This class is for complete beginners.

Sixteen weeks. Mondays: 5:30PM - 7:00PM

Begins Jan 15, 2024. Tuition: $590.00

Located in Williamsburg, Virginia

This class will teach your child the fundamentals of computer programming, in a fun, yet focused environment, for children who are motivated to learn computer science.

If your child shows interest in computers, computer programming, or wants to eventually study computer science, this class is the best gift you can give your child; your child will learn the building blocks of computer programming in exactly the manner and progression it needs to be presented.

If you child shows interest in any type of math, engineering, computers in general, or computer games, this class will augment your child's knowledge and skill set in ways unimaginable. This class will improve your child's critical and logical thinking. If your child does not show interest in computers, computers are nevertheless here to stay, and if you are going to spend your whole life in front of a computational box, or a phone with a computer in it, you may as well know how it works.

This class will teach your child the basics of how to program a computer, including all concepts necessary to program a complete game. By the end of the class, your child will program a fully functional, playable game.

Your child will learn the following through coding:

Command Line Programming

Screen Positioning

Graphing

Iteration

Geometry

Logic

Functions

This class will augment your child's geometric and mathematical aptitude, spacial and fluid reasoning, and logic and analysis, in a fun. relaxed, supportive, and encouraging environment. Your child will learn how to use command line code to make the computer perform iterative tasks, including creating geometric shapes, and graphing through plotting and defining function calls.
